It would be a worthy goal for every believer to complete a verse by verse study of the following Bible books by the age of 30 (or within 10 years of being saved):
- One of the 4 gospels
- 1 Corinthians
These books provide a breadth and depth of divine revelation that is indispensable to doctrine and daily Christian life. They are key books in relation to the gospel, the local assembly, and the person and work of Christ. Paul’s epistle to the Romans is especially vital as it deals with the doctrine of the gospel, enabling students to understand and assimilate gospel truth, thus equipping them to live gospel molded lives for God’s glory and making them more effective witnesses and channels of gospel truth to others.
To get you started, here is a chart of Paul’s epistle to the Romans that outlines numerous ways of breaking down its contents.
